Field Trip Information
1st Quarter Field Trip
On even years (2010, 2012...) we travel with the 6th grade class to Cahokia Mounds. While there we get to watch a video, tour the museum, eat a picnic lunch and climb the stairs to Monks Mound.
On odd years (2011, 2013...) we travel with the 6th grade class to the Lewis and Clark State Historic Site and Pere Marquette. We get to tour the museum, eat a picnic lunch, and take a hike at the park.
2nd Quarter Field Trip
Each year we get to hear the Christmas sounds of the Alton Symphony with the 4th grade class.
3rd Quarter Field Trip
This trip changes. One possibility is a trip with our 1st grade buddies.
Every 3 years we get to take a tour of Busch Stadium with the 3rd and 4th graders. The next tour will be in 2014.
4th Quarter Field Trip, AKA May Field Trip
For this trip our class goes to the St. Louis Arch and Old Court House. At the Old Court House the class gets to view the museum and re-enact a famous trial that took place there. So far I have seen the Dred Scott Case and a womens rights case. Then we head over to the Arch grounds for a nice picnic. Afterwards we'll take the tram to the top of the arch and tour the Arch Museum.
