Mrs. Lorenz
I am very excited to be back in the classroom after a short break at the start of the school year. The last 10 years I spent teaching 5th grade home room and many other things in Racine, Wisconsin. My husband, Tim, teaches math and science at Metro-East Lutheran High School. We have two amazing children, Emma who is 6, and Lucas who is 3. They attend school at Good Shepherd in Collinsville, IL. God has and continues to richly bless our family!
I love to read, got for walks, and bake just about anything! I can't wait to spend the remainder of the school year getting to know you and your students!
Mrs. Decker

Hi second graders! This page is all about your teacher, Mrs. Decker!
I teach 2nd grade at Zion Lutheran School in Bethalto, Il. This is my 9th year teaching at Zion. All together I've taught for 19 years!
My favorite grade to teach is Second Grade!
Pastor Decker and I live right across the street from the church and we have 3 children. James is 24, Faith 22, and Jakobi 20.
.
My family all dressed up!

We have a hyper dog named Hank.
When I'm not at school I enjoy reading, walking, playing around with my camera and listening to my kids tell me about their adventures. I love traveling on the train and meeting new people.
On lazy summer evenings you probably could find me playing Scrabble with Pastor Decker or reading a good book. This past summer I am took classes for my masters degree in Special Education. I hope to be done with my master by next summer.
Things that make me laugh are funny jokes, my dog Hank and The Carol Burnett Show.
I cry at baptisms and I cried during Toy Story 3 and UP.
I enjoy being part of the Green Team here at Zion Lutheran School. This team works hard to make sure that our school participates in keeping God's world clean! I especially love hearing students tell me about the ways they participate in Green Team activities at home and in their communities!

Teaching second grade here at Zion Lutheran School is such a blessing . One of my favorite subjects to teach is Religion because I love to share with my students about God's wonderful grace.
Thanks for taking the
time to read about me!
