Final Thoughts

Parents, the most important thing you can do for your young adolescent is to love them and be there for them.  One way to do this is to understand what they are experiencing as they navigate the years of young adolescence.  They need to know that they are valued by you and that you are willing to set boundaries for them.  Many parents think that once their child has reached the middle grades, they do not need as much help with homework and may not want to talk about what is going on with them.  This is not true!  Middle grades students need their parents more than they have since infancy.  They need you to support them, help them achieve success, and to provide a sense of security for them.

The teachers at Zion Lutheran School are committed to helping you do this. We are dedicated to providing your young adolescent the education they need to achieve success in their future education while helping them develop physically, emotionally, and socially, but also helping them develop spiritually. We want them to grow in their faith daily and know without a doubt that Jesus loves them and so do we.
