Entertainment Book Fundraiser: The Entertainment book offers 50% savings on family fun, dining out, travel shopping and more! Each booklet also includes $30.00 in Shop and Save coupons. And a $5.00 gift card to several restaurants. You can recoup your investment immediately by using these coupons and gift card. We are encouraging each family to sell 5 books. For each 5 books sold per family, you will receive a free book and your name will go into a drawing to win one of five $25.00 gift certificates from the scrip program. Also each family who sells a book will receive a fuzzy frog. The cost of the book is $30.00 each. Deadline to turn in orders or return books is Friday, September 10th. The proceeds are used in the school office for items, supplies, and activities not budgeted for.
Our chapel offering for the months of August and September will be going to LUTHERAN MALARIA INITIATIVE. For every $10 we bring into our offerings the LUTHERAN MALARIA INITIATIVE will purchase a mosquito net that has been treated with pesticides to keep mosquitoes away. Our goal is for Zion Lutheran School to purchase MORE THAN 30 nets! So far we have collected $415.19 dollars! That's 41 nets for children in Africa to keep them safe and healthy. We will be praying for our brothers and sisters in Africa so that the Lord will raise up missionaries to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

PTL News...
A great big THANKS to all of those who helped make our Noodle Night a great success. We served dinner for close to 300 folks and it seemed like everyone enjoyed the event. Thanks to all of those who helped prepare the meal, do the table set up, those who helped serve the meal, and those who helped clean up. All help is truly appreciated. I would also like to thank everyone for such a great turn out and hope to see you all again for the next event, "Outdoor Movie Night.”
OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT: The next great PTL event is scheduled for next Friday, September 10th. We have rented a large inflatable movie screen and will be showing a movie outdoors. We have not picked the movie yet, but any suggestions will be considered. We will start out around 7 or as soon as it gets dark enough. We will be serving freshly popped popcorn, sno cones, and other drinks as well. We want to invite everyone to come out and enjoy the nice evening and a good movie. We are not sure exactly where we will have it set up, but I am sure you will be able to find us when you pull up. If anyone wants to volunteer to help us with this event, please contact JoAnn Vetter at 618-791-0207. All you need to do is bring your lawn chair or blanket and meet us for a great time! Hope to see you all there!
